The Media Guardian 100 is an annual for the broadsheet which consists of the most powerful and influential in the industry. The lists consists of individuals in all sectors of media such as broadcasting, publishing, advertising, marketing. There were 47 new entries last year that have influenced the Media during the year.

Andy Duncan is placed as number 22 influential figures in the Media Guardian by working as the Channel 4 executive, however he dropped seventeen places as he was ranked number 5 in 2006. He is best known for the controversial race row in Celebrity Big Brother between Shilpa Shetty and Jade Goody which has led to him dropping from 5th place to 22nd because of the this controversy. It was the darkest days for Channel 4 as the race row proved 45,000 record complaints to OF com the UK television watchdog.

Before getting his big break at Channel 4, Andy Duncan previously worked as senior marketing executive at Unilever, where he was the driving force behind PG Tips, Flora and I Can't believe it's not butter. With a salary of £622,000 last year, he will earn loyalty bonuses of upto £450,000 for staying with the channel for three years.
